This site was designed as part of a Master's thesis project through the Department of Plant Biology and the Herbarium at the University of Georgia. The site is intended for educational use to inform the public about potentially toxic plants native to or naturalized in Georgia. Plants here are listed by scientific names and selected common names. They also may be searched by the chemical compound group associated with their toxins or through a questionnaire that will aid in your identification of a plant.
