Welcome to PBIO 1210. I hope you have a great semester!

EXAM 1, Thursday, 9/21. The exam will cover everything from lecture 1 through whatever I cover on Tuesday, 9/19.

That means, through the cell cycle but not including mitosis proper

Bring at least TWO no. 2 pencils to the exam, plus YOUR UGA CARD!!!!!!!

NO UGA CARD, NO GRADE!

The exam will consist of 25-40 multiple choice questions. Answers will go on a scantron form which will be machine graded.

The exam will be monitored by yours truly and several teaching assistants.

I will post sample questions on the website the night before the exam.

Make sure you arrive at the exam on time.

Make sure you read course policy re make-ups, on the syllabus. In short, NO MAKE-UPS, unless under the direst circumstances!

Study tips: go over the posted notes and your own notes from class. Compare them to the reading material. If possible, get one or two other classmates together in a study group to go over the material, ask each other questions, etc. I tend to direct my questions to concepts rather than rote facts, though I will ask some fact-based questions.
