1. Leaf blade of wider types, most or all of them more than 5 mm across (GROUP H) ...................... 2

2. Leaf blades 9-30(38) mm (petiole included), spatulate to spatulate-obovate, most entire or some with 1-5 rounded teeth ...................... B. dioica

2. Leaf blades all or several over 35 mm, elliptic to broadly ovate, obovate, oblanceolate, oblong, or oval; the larger leaves with 1 or more coarse teeth ............................................................................ 3

3. Nodes sometimes with a bud or head of flowers between base of the smaller lateral twigs and base of adjacent petiole. Leaf blade underside not glandular dotted but with minute pale dots visible only under ca 10 X magnification ........................................ B. glomeruliflora

3. Nodes all without buds or flowers between base of the smaller lateral twigs and base of adjacent petiole. Leaf blade underside with pale-amber glandular dots visible with sharp eyes or with slight magnification ......................................................... B. halimifolia
