Brian Shaw, a post-doc in Dr. Michelle Momany's lab will be presenting.
The title of his talk is: Identification and characterization of two polar growth genes from Aspergillus nidulans.

Jeff Diez, a Ph.D. student in Ecology, will give a presentation on:
"The Mycorrhizal Ecology of Forest Herbs"

Karen Snyder, Masters student in Plant Pathology.
"The SMUT in Lab 2301: The True Story"

Jonathan Hulvey, a senior Botany major, will be giving a presenation on his summer REU work on estuarine chytrids. Jonathan worked with Dr. Steve Newell down at the Marine Institute on Sapelo Island, Georgia isolating and studying the ecology of chytrids present in the marshgrasses. Dr. Harald Scherm in Plant Pathology will be giving a seminar on "Life Histories of Monilinia spp. of Fruit Crops in Georgia, with an Emphasis on Monilinia vaccinii-corymbosi on Blueberry" at 4pm in room 2401 Miller Plant Sciences.
