Image: Kelly Dawe, Distinguished Research Professor and UGA Athletics Association Professor in Plant Biology, was featured for his pioneering and ground-breaking work in a recent UGA Research article. In this article, Kelly shared how his passion for plants developed from a young age, and how his training prepared him to follow in the footsteps of Barbara McClintock, the pioneering corn geneticist and winner of the 1983 Nobel prize in Physiology and Medicine.
